I stared at the devil, face to face,  

With fire in my heart, I found my place.  

Thought I could play in his wicked game,  

I held my ground, I wouldn’t feel shame.

Chorus:

I was lost in the darkness, but I broke the chain,  

With a roar in my soul, I embraced the pain.  

With the light of my spirit, I forged my way,  

That’s how I beat the devil at his own game.

He whispered my fears, tried to pull me down,  

But I stood tall, I would not drown.  

With courage as my armor, I faced the night,  

In the heart of the battle, I found my light.
