I do it because I can,

And once I almost wanted to.

I like her cuz her hair is pink.

She blows me kisses.

So many multipurpose pointless wastes.

I tried to put it all behind me,

Then tried to lock the door.

I lost the key, I'm searching blindly,

What am I here for?



Then sometimes, gently,

You're so sweet.

And, honestly I'd love to, darling...

Please step off my feet.

Gave away my honest early,

Lost my only cinnamon.

My thoughts might make sense if you'd listen,

I wouldn't lie if you'd just ask.

You don't know anything about me,

Don't see me stumbling through the fog.

Don't see me fumbling with my heart

Don't see the ghosts tear me apart.



I wish they didn't know me.

I wish they couldn't see.

I wish that all they knew was

All the good that was in me.

I wish they'd just ignore me.

I wish they'd close their eyes.

I wish that they'd just listen,

And trust in all my lies.

I wish they'd watch me always,

Or never. That would do.

I wish the world was half as blind,

To me, my dear, as you.
