I lay alone in bed
And watch as day turns to night
I see the stars in your eyes
And dream of you holding me tight.

Your warm embrace
Lingers within my heart
I shed one single tear for you
‘Cause we’re so far apart.

I miss your voice
The words of love you’d speak to me
A lifetime of love and non-separation
That’s the way things should be.
You in my life
And me by your side
But now my emotions are so jumbled
It’s as if I’m on an endless ride.

A monster roller coaster
An unpleasant merry-go-round
As if you pick me up off my feet
Then threw me back on the ground.

Come back into my life
Please don’t let this be the end
I will wait for you for eternal life
Until I’m in your world again . . .
