Goodbye Soldiers

Folder:
Sept. 11

We are at war,

against terrorism,

soldiers gathering,

together as nation,

to find, fight, & destroy,

all in the destruction,

of the US & other countries,

that may be possible targets.

We ask our sons/daughters,

lovers/husbands, friends,

return home safely,

from your journey of war,

find Osama Bin Laden,

& his terrorizing allies,

& bring them to justice,

ending terrorism forever.

We bid them farewell,

as we hold them so tight,

crying in their arms,

assuring we love them inside,

for who knows now,

what might happen,

when they arrive,

so kiss them,

with tears falling,

& heavy hearts dropping.

"Goodbye Soldiers...",

waving away franticly,

for they stand tall & brave,

may the light above,

guide them home,

the following next day,

here we shall wait,

with opened arms,

tearing smiled faces,

of the ending war,

against terrorism.
