He suffers as he stands alone
Just days before he had someone he could call his own
It was a man who he loved
It was a man who he thought he could trust
He felt since they were the same that the man can understand
But that man was still a man
His heart, his life, his soul
Put directly on top of a pedestal
He asked himself
Why do I feel like I have a cold?
Why do I feel like I have smoked?
Lungs can no longer control
Heavy breathing, eyes swelling
Face becoming as pale as a cloud
All he wants to do is just scream out
He gives that man a call to ask a simple question
"Hey, did you leave something behind?"
"No, what makes you ask such a thing?"
"Oh, I don't know. The doctors said I've come down with something"
Oh that man knew what he left
AIDS is what showed up on the test
That man was gone
While this man struggles to hold on
