Are those stories you read true?
Can it really happen?
A depressed teen saved from death,
By a friend he never knew he had,
Who shows up at the right time?

Could it ever happen?
The gay teen that hid his whole life,
And when it finally became too much,
A friend shows up to let him know he cares.

Could it happen to me?
Would it?
Does anyone care enough?

Maybe they all ready have,
And maybe I’m waiting for someone else.

Or maybe the stories are all fake.
No chance of it ever happening.
Just works of fiction,
Lost forever in the mind.

A short fog hazes your senses,
The rope around my neck tightens.

Has it become too much for me?
Or have I not yet reached my breaking point?

Will I let the truth out?
Alleviate the pain before I try to cut it out?

Can it happen to me?
That teen,
Losing sight of what to live for,
Not much left at all.
Would you come?
Or are you to fake to even notice.
Or do you just not care?
