There was a time
When a horrible crime
An act of evil
Which I feel I must reveal
For you see
It's taken of part of me
It broke part of my soul
And now I'm not whole
I thought you should know
If not for you I couldn't show
The feelings I have found
Since you have been around
The damage is mending
And I'm done pretending
Your love is so strong
That I feel the only place I belong
Is here in your embrace
