there was a time
when a horrible crime
an act of evil
which I feel I must reveal
for you see
it's taken of part of me
it broke part of my soul
and now I'm not whole
I thought you should know
if not for you I couldn't show
the feelings I have found
since you have been around
the damage is mending
and I'm done pretending
your love is so strong
that I feel the only place I belong
is here in your embrace
for you are my saving grave
