These cards Im dealt leave behind a curse always felt,
No matter the stakes, to my knees I eventually melt.
Life is my dealer, molding this game like clay,
My perseverance is my wager in this game I must play.
Ill watch my chips continue to stack,
As Im sitting on nineteen only to be dealt a Jack.
Left with only my pride I cant walk away from the table,
Toss my pride in the pot, I must win, must become stable.
Luck comes and goes but determination is everlasting,
So from where I was I shall continue to keep surpassing.
Empty pockets greet needy hands,
My sanity slipping away in invisible strands.
Deal another hand this isnt over yet,
I will win this game one day on that you can bet.
