Leaves blowing on a autumn day,
Hope of another begins to sway.
Mirrors reflect what we already see,
Tears fall like leaves of a tree.
Life is as cold as a winters breeze,
Forcing some to look to the sky from their knees.
A frost bitten heart leaves a chilly fact,
Against us are the cards constantly stacked.
A new day, a fresh start, much like spring.
Bringing hope for more than just another fling.
Thawing out a frozen emotion,
Once again showing another our devotion.
Smiles as warm as the summer sun,
Fill our life with cheer and fun.
Though as any other we feel the burn,
Watching as another loves back does turn.
