Yesterday
Nothing but a memory
Faded storms stain tomorrow
Rain clouds break pouring sorrow
Lightning streaks across the sky
Leaving the valleys cold and dry
Fires burn what remains of the past
A chilling wind kills the flame fast
And endless cycle in and out
Another storm bringing doubt
Under the sun and through the heat
Bright rays reflecting off the street
Close the doors and stay inside
Watching all the weather outside
Forget tomorrow just survive today
Stop chasing storms of yesterday
