In this dark place
Emptiness fallen from grace
Thoughts struggle within
Feelings deep beneath the skin
Reflection of memories drown
In failures steps leading down
Breaking through the clouded sky
Collided thoughts left dry
Look in my mind and crawl inside
See where the hope died
Hollow and cold
Let the darker side unfold
Where the green used to grow
Is nothing but a hole
Silence split the atom
Lost inside this stratum
Breaking through the surface
Burning souls in the furnace
A candle flickers
Time in moving pictures
Moving through the dark
Letting go of the spark
Through the empty crawl space
In this dark place
