the smile I lost
the bridge never crossed
the place I find
within my mind
deeper I burrow
digging so thorough
finding many ways
to get through the days
so I can someday shine
and build upon this shrine
it may be long before I escape
making way through all the red tape
I will survive
in this life I drive
and once in a while
I will smile
