I read that love is defined as affection

And affection defined as good will,

Goodwill is defined as a feeling

And all feelings can be killed.

Love at first sight

And love is in the air,

They say love lasts forever

But is it even there?

The talk of the beating of the heart

And look that’s in your eyes,

How love was known from the start

Like you’re floating in the skies.

What about the brokenness?

And the crashing down from above,

What has now become an unknown kiss

Maybe this is really love.

The smile that love brings

And the love songs people sing,

Love cannot be nonexistent

Maybe it’s just humanity’s dream.

They say people fall in love

Though when I fall I get back up,

They say they found the one

But wouldn’t that take luck?

Is it the love story

That ends with the tears?

Or is a love story

Something that disappears?

I read love is defined as a feeling

And feelings do not last,

Remember they say you fall in love

But o’ so many get up fast.
