Another One to the Wind
Another one to the wind,
it seems I’ve given off
the wrong impression.
Wonder where I’ve
seen that before?
Good gracious, I am
becoming so optimistic.
I am so close to that first
candle lit dinner I can
almost taste the wax.
She is even more beautiful
than the last beautiful one.
and we have so much in common,
but there is something still missing
or something we lack.
But from here it will
be better; the trudging
will end and I will be
brought back to the flame
...as soon as I find
another piece of me to burn.
