Smiles come & smiles go
Slowly forgotten by time
Tears come & tears go
Never truly forgotten
What causes smiles slowly fades
And brings tears to our eyes
Once we laughed & smiled
Now we weep & sigh
We can look back & remember
All the times we smiled
Not always knowing why
But we can never look back
And forget what made us cry
Angry words & sad events
One day the tears will stop
And they will fade
But the memory will never die
Nor the smiles in our minds
