Waking up this morning

You were on my mind

I look out my window

To see the bright sun shine

And all I see is clouds



You’re not here

That’s why I fear

All I can see is clouds

Yeah only clouds



I get ready

Walk out my door

Feeling like I just can’t take this anymore

And there is no sun

Cause all I can see is clouds



You’re not here

Oh why should I care that you’re not here?

I shouldn’t but yet every day I do

And the clouds come back again

Oh yeah they just come back again



Get in my car

Drive to town

Have lots of free time so I just sit around

Then you walk by me and smile that smile

And it makes me feel that my life’s worthwhile

Look back up at the sky and see the sun

All the clouds are gone



You’re not here

That’s why I fear
