Fable: End of the World

The sun came up one morning in the Earth. By the time the light illuminated slowly the horizon, light rays revealed the situation in which Earth was. Animals were fighting for survival, fighting against pollution, trying to maintain their habitat in which they lived in. The animals were tired of this because it was not their fault. They wanted the Earth just like the Gods gave it to them at the beginning, not full of buildings, streets, factories and trash; they missed the nature as it was before: clean, green, and perfect. That morning every animal on Earth gathered in a place forgotten by humans because they knew they have to make something. That was the day in which animals were going to fight, no matter what, to take back their nature, so everyone started to organize a master plan.
“Birds” said the lion, “you will rule the sky, you will be in charge of destroying every airplane and jets. Rhinos, bulls, elephants, you’ll take control of big cities, destroying every building, bridges, and houses that you see. Whales, sharks, fishes, you’ll be ruling the seas, sinking every ship and submarines that are in the ocean. Tigers, lions, we are going to destroy the factories, all machines created by humans that are polluting this planet, so we can get back our nature. Let’s fight!”.
The war started. Finally it was the day in which animals wanted nature back. They were all excited because the Earth was going to be as they wanted it to be. Just like the lion said, the birds were ruling the sky, as it was established by the Gods at first. All these flying animals made the airplanes fall, don’t letting them fly again. The bulls, rhinos and elephants were hitting every single building hindering their passage with their horns and big bodies to destroy them. Then the sea animals were all over the ships until they sink them and they clean the sea.
No machine made by man was “alive”. Pollution stopped. The air and the seas became clean. The tired animals gathered around again. They were all jumping and singing so happily because now, the Earth belong to them.
The oldest tree that remained in the Earth said: Listen you all bushes and trees, flowers and seeds, now is our time to cover all the mess and give this Earth the gorgeous green color that belongs to it. And in an instant, every plant in the earth started to grow, all the braches and leafs were moving through every little corner of the ground, covering every gray piece of concrete.
Nature was the only thing that could be seen. A cottontail saw a group of humans, and went straight to them. The other animal saw this, and decided to go with him. All the animals were making a circle around the humans. That´s when the rabbit said: “Humans, we all belong together, nature is our mother, nature is our home. We did not destroy you “world”, (if you want to call it that way), we destroyed what was destroying us, and I don’t speak for the animals only, but also yourselves.”
