I am me,
I wonder about my existence,
I hear but I do not listen,
I see what no one wants to,
I want what I can't have,
I am me.

I pretend to have a purpose,
I feel the walls closing in,
I touch on subjects not meant to be disturbed,
I worry about my sanity,
I cry when no one is around,
I am me.

I understand what cannot be understood,
I say what shouldn't be said,
I dream about yesterday,
I try not to fall victim,
I hope you do not commit me,
I am me.
