We are fools,

Ignorant and hurt,

Running blindly from the pain,

Our vision dulled by the horrors we have seen,

Our minds replaying those countless screams,

We are lost in a nightmare,

Captured in the dark,

Tendrils of fear,

Gripping our hearts,

There's no comfort in the tears,

I'm only left with despair,

Hope has all faded away,

I've got nothing left to cling to,

The rope leading to the light,

Has finally broke,

And I'm giving up.
