Everything is done and gone,

Forever is let go,

There's no going back,

Not that you would take it back,

Apologies were never your thing,

Too arrogant to see your faults,

Egotistic, and it's all your fault,

And I know that's not the truth,

I don't blame you,

Slipping out of our grasp,

Fading slowly away,

There's no going back,

We can't withdraw the hurt,

Or erase the scars,

Just like we can't forget it all,

It's not the past that's gone,

It's a future that we lost.
