Laughter in the air

We're floating without a care

And if I could be anywhere

I would stay right here

Cloud nine

Seems drab

Compared to here

And dreams seem dull

Without you there

For once

My hauntings can slip away

And all the hard times

Of life can be left behind

As I take a look in your eyes

There's more than what I see

And this I know

But everyone has secrets

Layers beneath the truth

We all sacrifice

For what is right

And that is all that matters

For the moment

All that is here

Is the peace

And for once

As a break in the chaos

And a little bit of safety
