MONEY DOESN'T BUY HAPPINESS

MONEY DOESN'T BUY HAPPINESS

I could want that,

I could have this

but with all the money in the world

could I have happiness?

I could write that,

I could publish this

but with all the money in the world 

would that pay for my happiness?

I could own that

I could invest in this

but with all the capital in the world

would I be taxed when I have happiness?

I could smile and laugh

I could smoke to reach bliss

but with all the casualities in the world

would I have genuine happiness?

That looks expensive

sitting on the shelf

a beautiful investment

pure wealth-

I could smile at the posession

I could brag with obsession

but when the tears fall 

and the minds' in regression

would all the money in the world

buy back that one word?

Happiness.

That's a sacred gift bought from within.
