TRUTH: YOU BECOME YOUR MOTHER, OR YOU DON'T.

53 years old

she's a mother of a few

but who's counting

when they've been grown 

on their own

with lovers, they chose

to live their life

creating boundries to show

they wont turn into the child she was

when she had to become a mother

so long ago

and her truth 

never set her FREE.

But she lives on 

knowing she's doing her best

so she can be

somebody they want to run to

with open arms, heartbreak and joy

and whisper the three words 

she heard when they were young

"I love you so much,

THANK YOU, MOMMY."

and she thinks of her kids

more than

the phone call they give

once every blue moon.
