Terror in his eyes,
Of something not common,
No one will believe him.

The curtain of darkness,
That red eye,
It haunts his every step.
Still, no one believes him.

To look into the mirror,
Is to look at the red eyes,
His own red eyes.
No one believes him.

“Don’t worry, you did the right thing.”
The words bring him little comfort,
To soothe his fear of those eyes,
The eyes that blame him,
That blame him for his sorrow.

He fears the red eyes,
The red eyes of his brother.
The eyes swollen and puffy,
From the constant crying.

“I’m sorry, little brother.”
That’s all he could say,
But still the fear remained.
And no one believes him.
