You said we were meant to be;
I was stupid enough to believe you.

Then you walked out of my life
without so much as a goodbye.

Why did you leave me out
after I let you in?

I whispered all my secrets
and you'll carry them to the grave.

You pushed me aside then wanted back
what you threw away.

You ended something that could
have lasted forever.

You said we would remain friends,
but treated me as worse than a enemy. 

You rejected me when I needed you most,
cast out like yesterday's leftovers.

All you had to do was stay a little longer
until I was ready to let you go.
