Taking a Heart Inventory

God (Inspired by)

I’m examining my heart to see what I’m lacking. I find only one thing missing: You. I’m in need of nothing because you bless me even though I don’t deserve it. But if I had to choose, I’d cast my desires at your throne so I could be yours completely.

Lord, please empty my hands of all I’ve been holding back from you until I’m only left with you to hold onto. All these material possessions keep us apart. Search me, God and remove what is not necessary. Strip me of what divides us even if I have nothing left.

My life is yours to do as you please because nothing makes me happier than bringing you delight. No other love compares to yours; you accept me as no one else can. You know my heart and still want it, no questions asked.
