I don't know how I survived you,

but maybe I actually didn't

as I cling to existence

despite all my wishes not to.

Everything bad in me 

is because of you;

all my flaws have your DNA 

written all over them.

You tried to protect me 

from everyone else

but the one I needed 

protection from was you.
