that propelled me into
two months of utter torment.
You caused me to hit one of
the lowest points in my life;
you started my downfall.
I was beyond hopeless;
I contemplated suicide
more seriously than ever.
You said you cared about me
but you didn't care enough
to keep me in your life.
It took me all summer to
come to the understanding
that this is for the best.
Our relationship was strained
practically from the onset;
you made me cry more than smile.
So I accept your departure
and hope I can forgive you
one day when the wound heals.
