A Bloody Sacrifice[DRC Congo,2008]

Cloud of sunset
Heavy with red rain;
Tears're red too, hot and explosive;

The soldier's rifle rattles the forest
Like a thunderbolt, cutting
The other lad's life shot!

Mother's children're hostile,
And destined to sunset
At the prime of their dawn.

Masses of mourners
Stream home from afar,
The gates're ajar

To their hypocritical visits,
After all, there's
Gold, diamond and copper...

The Congo belt's a baazar
For wild hounds, riches ready
For disposal, fund for arms acquisition!

The aged godfathers
Must win the war
By sacrificing the young.

~

Don't mind of scared birds
Scattering away from the trees,
We'll keep their abandoned nests
As memorabilia!

They're gone
On a precarious holiday,
They'll come back
When the sky turns orange
With the glow of dawn
When brothers learn to talk
Again, weathered down
By the experiences
Of a bloody sacrifice
Of kindreds,
When their godfathers learn
To tame their appetite
For power public things!
