Someday

Thoughts

Some day
Someday we'll all be accepted
As a whole
As a community
As who we are
People will no longer speak those three words
It's a choice
It's not a choice
Why would anyone choose to be
persecuted
shot down
killed
even fired
For being who they are
For loving who they love
For being themselves
Someday we won't need to hide our love in the deep dark shadows of the night
Having to wait until the sun goes down
To express what you feel
Time lingering on
Being apart of the LGBT community will no longer be seen as seclusion
But will no longer be a label
No more illusions
But now inclusion
No one will be left behind
Someday, words like
faggot
dyke
&
tranny
Will be as unspoken as
nigger
spik
&
cracker
There will no longer be a stigma
We wont have to be protected with an enigma
We will go forth with our natural born rights
The right to give
The right to receive
The right to live
We will love openly
We will love tightly
As we are no longer outsiders
But are now apart of the unspoken community
Breaking down the walls of society
Crashing through social norms
Making our so called lifestyle
Not a choice,
But a small part of who we are
No more stares
No more bewilderment
No more useless therapies
No need to fix the normalities that we are born with
No need to push away what we feel
No more fear
But trust
No more tears or disgust
We are one
United
We are people too
Someday we will be normal
Someday there won't be a new report saying;
"California teen commits suicide for his sexuality"
"Ohio woman sexually assaulted for holding her girlfriend's hand"
"Trans woman gunned down on 4th Avenue"
There will be a beam of light
In which guides us to a new beginning
In which we are accepted
Someday that whim will be a reality
