“The greedy little monkey”
Millions of years ago there was a land where different species of animals live in. there was an old prophecy announced the end of times. The years go by, and different signs and events started to happen. The animals begin to worry about the prophecy and started to be preventive. Just a few animals have a shelter, the small ones and weaker, they get a shelter and supplies to survive the end of the world.
There were careless animals that didn’t look for any shelter or food to survive because they consider themselves as strong. The day arrived and these animals started to search for help with the small and weak animals that were prepared. A group of foxes went to the rabbit burrow and asked if they could come in. The rabbit was very doubtful and didn’t trust the foxes, but he changed his mind and give help to them. This was a different situation so he decided to help them because they were a family and he wouldn’t like to be in the same position as the Fox. A pack of lions approach to the deer shelter. The lion asked to the deer: Deer deer could you give shelter to my pack and me? The deer answer: I’m not sure, you are my depredator, what can I expect?----- I promise that my pack and I won’t hurt you, I just want to protect them. The deer agree, and let the pack get in to his shelter. The same story occurred to many animals, like the mouse and the snake.
There was an exception to the other animals that searched for help, the greedy little monkey. He didn’t offer help to any animal. He had feared to be victim of a depredator or to finish the supplies and couldn’t survive. He said: “I don’t need the company of anyone, I’m good by myself and I have anything I need to survive, no company necessary.”
The Disaster started to happen. Mountains falling, lakes overflowing, shelters and houses were going down. The small animals have the fortune to have help and protection of the stronger animals. They reconstruct the shelters helping each other. On the other hand, the little monkey who was alone, couldn’t fix his shelter after it went down.
When the disaster ended and the rest of the animals survived, they wondered what had happened to the rest. This make them reconsider and feel grateful to be safe, not as the monkey that did not survive because of greed.
