Not A Part Of The Puzzle Anymore
Where do I fit in?
Seriously, where?
I mean
We joke, and laugh, and play around
But in the end there is no sound
No sound of laughter
The silence prevails
In the place my reassurance fails
I can’t exactly say my heart’s breaking
Or, I refuse to admit
Why can’t we all be the same?
Our connections one
I’m outside the window again
Peeking inside
Being replaced
I can’t abide
This loneliness
I’ve not yet cried
But soon I will
When I realize
That I’m nothing more
Than a new, fun ride
Entertaining, now old
No longer gold
The feeling, the newness
Has died
