Years after years and lies after lies
Still I can't tell you the last good-byes
I try so hard to end your pain and strife
So you can get on with your life

I bring back moments when I thought of you
Knowing that you love me the way you do
Wishing I could tell you what's on my mind so clear
But there's that little thing, the thing that I fear

I try to take my time and do what's right
But I stop to wish that you just might
Take me in your arms and hold me til dawn breaks
When in each other arms we will both awake

Wishing I could look into your eyes of blue
And just tell you true feelings for you.
Kiss your smile and tell you the things inside,
Feelings I have been trying desperately to hide.

The rain falls but the sun still shines bright
Oh how I wish I could be in your arms tonight
I play the songs that make me sad, it's true,
Just to bring myself to say  "I love you..."
