There are some things I cannot explain
Like how the pleasure is worth the pain,
The distance between us bringing us near
You fighting my demons and my fears;

However, I am not going to hide behind
This wall, with the bricks I have lined.
I am stepping out, to give love a try,
Even if in the end, it makes us both cry.

I have hope for a future with you and me;
Hope that our happy ending will come to be,
Hope that love will carry us through
Hope that our love is real and true.

Forever cannot be promised, by any two hearts
Only until the day the lovers shall part.
I have tried to hide my past, start over again
And slowly you have helped my heart to mend.

The passion burning is very much alive,
Pushing me, into this sea in which I dive.
You have given me strength I have never knew
And it started with the day you said "I love you."

I wish I could tell you exactly how I feel,
Explain how my heart is no longer steel,
I hope I do in my own  way
To let you know a little every day.
