i don't really know how to say this
in such a way that will stick to your conscious
the world that we know is desperate for something.
they don't really know what it is
but they try so hard hoping one day they'll take it
they never knew it's intangible.

addicted to destroying themselves
just one more bite and i'll be well
take a picture of how much fun we're having.
the devil's inside us all
we're selfish and we put up walls.
destroy the world and sit there just laughing..

and lately it's been black and white
a struggle between death and life
cause hate is easy but love is worth the fight.
and yeah, we distract ourselves
cuddle up in a corner while we burn in hell
never knew that love is right outside our shells.

the day I died I leaned how to live
started helping others, learned how to give
cause taking never leaves you quite fulfilled
and God is love that calms your rage
get what you give, lose what you take
the bank you chase will lead you to the grave.
