Those in charge
Know it too
And yet
Time and again
They still refuse
Hatred when
It comes to
Race, sex,
And sexual
Orientation
And preference
We have yet
To defuse
For said hatred
We would rather
Use to push around
Manipulate
While living
And reveling in
The hate
We know better
Than to live
Our lives in
Day after day
Yet without fail
We do it anyway
While pointing
Fingers and placing blame
Claiming everyone else
Are the ones
Who are insane
When will we get it
When will we see
That insane ones
Are all of us
And the blaming game
Is how we got here
Hating each other
For stupid reasons
Doesn't work
Neither does
Blind fear
For no reason
We need to
Pull our heads
Out of the perverbial gutter
And get a clue
Less hate
More education
More acceptance
And more common sense
That is what we need
Not more blind hatred
Ignorance
Division
And willful stupidity
