The voice of Florida minority has spoken
It is United States Congressman Meek;
He is the blessing that God has chosen,
So let Kendrick speak...

Let him speak as he done before,
Let him voice the feeling of us;
Let him tell what we have to offer and more,
Let Kendrick speak about us.

As we listen to Congressman Meek...

Remember The One Florida Sit-In,
The millennium in the office of JEB,
Protesting as Tony Hill pitched in,
A demostration powerhouse fit to not fail.

Hours past and past in his room,
It took a day until he appeared;
He came in irrate issuing doom,
As he said to offer pillows for years.

Governor Bush put false statistics out
To trick the Supreme Court to believe
That there was equal enrollment in South
Florida and throughout as he tried to decieve.

Kendrick went to the Supreme Court to fight,
As he stood up for the Florida black students
Trying to get in public universities by right
But not accepted because they were refusing.

Let Kendrick speak...
As we listen to Congressman Meek...

Remember the Class Size Amendment,
An initiative that Kendrick started for kids
To improve each class of Latin or African descent
And for parents who want it smaller than it is.

All JEB's Secretary could say is how much,
A plan so foolproof that the whole state was in favor;
We thought that were no price on education or such,
But money was the major issue, that taste won't savor.

Let Kendrick speak...

He was the first Black captain
of the Florida patrol...

He opposed H.J. Reg 88, and
lost by a vote...

He succeeded his mother Carrie Meek,
And was born to uphold her seat.

Kendrick stood for us all this time,
He will win, because we are right behind.
