Lay me down gently lay me down slow,

Lay me down tenderly for you have control.

All thoughts vanish with your touch, your feel,

Aye my lover you make my senses reel.



Together as one though are time is not long,

Forever and ever I wish to hold on.

It’s not possible this I know,

For your job takes you where you need to go.



But for now I take these moments we share,

And hold to tightly when you are not here.

Such a treasure so rare the find,

Even when we part you invade my mind.



And I remember. Yet how could I forget?

No Meeting you I do not regret.

You gave me back my life, released this lonely need,

Lay me down gently, and I’ll see you in my dreams.
