The Stars Remember

Folder:
Nest of Shadows

The shining stars drive the valley away,
Casting shadows that tremble with fear.
Heritage whispers through blood and bone—
Ancient dread reborn in the light.

Across the distance, I heed my own warnings;
Though my flesh bears the hue of the heavens,
I bow before the sky’s silent gaze,
Begging approval for my surrender.

Bows and arrows drink the blood of the fallen,
While rivers cradle the bodies of the brave.
The earth forgets, but the stars remember—
Abide by their will, and seek heaven’s might.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I gathered the shadows in my heart, and wove my nest from night.
