The flux of current

lured you to bed

pinning me

to the cool silk.

The extreme temperature

forced the grease

to bathe us:

your lips’ pressure on mine,

your traveling hands,

and the culmination

of the night.

In nostalgia
we discovered:

You mastered every detail

but could not reason.

I banished reason

to deflect emotion.
