I hear that time is running out

And I’m too late to hold you back

Though I try hard to understand

I still can’t see why you have to leave



Baby it hurts when you say

That you don’t love me the same

But I can take all the pain

You can hurt me

You can desert me

I’ll wait for you to come around

I will just be here when you turn

You can tear me

You can do whatever you like

The street’s all clear I’m all alone

I look at the stars but they are gone

I try to smile, but I cry within
