For a split second

I thought you were mine…

I thought we’d be together,

I thought we’d last forever

But forever past us by

Leaving us with never…

But, see, that’s what I thought,

But you didn’t know the real me;

Love was the Fair, I was the game

You played with my feelings-

I may never be the same…

But it’s a good thing I found out

What you were all about

Because…
