a smile upon your face, and love me
while the sun ushers in a new day.

Caresses, warm and soft,
like a gentle summer breeze
thru the branches of the trees.

Pull me close to you
I want to feel your heart
beating in my chest.

Smother me with kisses.
stealing my breath away.
until my knees grow weak.

Whisper to me words
I've always loved to hear,
sweet words from your lips.

Hold me, hold me, hold me
like the bars of a prison
to serve a life sentence.

I could spend all day like this.
Caresses, kisses, holding, whispering.
A loving investment in you.

Could we fall asleep in each others arms
under a watchful starry sky
and dream of tomorrow's joys.
