To fear love, afraid of what might be

To know love and all its wonders
(taking steps into the unknown)
To have love, its joys and sorrow
(how much happiness/sadness can one soul bear?)
To be consumed by love
(to willingly, without barriers, give all)
Then comes love's understanding
(having touched my heart, my soul, my mind)
The knowledge of loving so much
(to know love to the very depths)
To be willing to expose your heart
(turned fully inside out)
To give away all, without reservation
(and yet open my arms and give you freedom)
Understanding deeper than the heart
(no longer loving selfishly)
Love unexplainable by mere words
(how can i explain this to you?)
Concepts understood only thru love
(unless your love is as deep.)
Knowing that now, I can say, Good-bye.
