everyday i wake up with a purpose

there are a million things to do before we begin

copies to be printed, powerpoints to throw together

objectives to write on the board

but when you arrive i take a deep breath and say

i am so glad to see you again

everyday you amaze me with how special you are

and yet you ask me why i leave

you tell me you love me and i tell you i love you

and i tell you,

sometimes

there are more adventures there to be had

and though i would stay with you forever

in this community we built together

i have to go

hold on to me please

i will miss you everyday
