midterm reflections
life IS about love
but there are many different kinds of love
i love this morning
sitting in the side room of the science lab looking out at this gray new haven morning
after conversations with 14 year olds about immigration and the death penalty and violence
after a long first period that i am pretty sure none of us wanted to end
even the spelling errors in their videos made me smile
i am grateful that i am who i am where i am and
that i feel new skin growing on my soul
i love last night
smoking and watching breaking bad and eating pizza with avocados on top and doing
nothing by my
self
i am grateful no one is lying next to me or speaking in my ear or kissing
my lips because here in this place
no one is watering my growth but me
i am creating my own world
i like doing me
i love this city and this time
relaxing, now familiar
i am glad i made the decision to change
this is where i am meant to be right now
