When the world began there were no boundaries, all animals lived in harmony with each other and all their habitats were united as one, leading to a world in peace. This perfect world gave every species the respect and dignity they deserved. But even a perfect world can have its flaws. Each species had a quality that made them beautiful and unique, but of course, there were some animals that took advantage of them.
The Grizzly bears were known for having beautiful soft nails, they were so light that they were almost unnoticeable when they touched other animals. One day, the bears started to dream about every material thing other animals had but they lacked, they made a plan, and, with their beautiful nails, started to steal stuff from other animals. The gods who had granted this gift, took it away from them forever. Since then, grizzly bears have had enormous claws that makes everyone stay away from them.
From all marine species, the sharks were the kings of the sea thanks to their amazing personality and their smoothly white teeth. They had the most beautiful smile from all species. But having this gift wasn’t suddenly enough for them, they wanted to feel power. So they started using their teeth to make other fish think they were nice, but when they less expected it, the sharks started stealing stuff from them or even hurting them. The gods decided to take away their smile and gave them uneven sharp teeth so every other fish knew they were bad and dangerous.
In the deep jungle, beautiful panthers lived in peace with other animals, they had the most beautiful fur with exotic colors that dragged the attention of everyone. Each panther had its unique combination of colors that made them special, they received a lot of compliments and, for that matter, the panthers were very humble. One day, they started feeling superior than other species and they became arrogants. When the gods noticed, they changed their fur color to black, so they couldn’t show-off anymore.
Snakes also had a special characteristics, they had fluffy fur that kept them warm on a cold desert night. Snakes enjoyed spending time with other animals when they could. But one day, the snakes felt like every other animal desired their fur so they isolated themselves thinking no one was worthy enough to be their friends. The gods took away their fur because of the snakes’ dark thoughts, and gave them rough skin so no other animal could recognise them ever again.
The gods changed the way of living of these animals as a punishment, but they weren’t pleased, they were scared something like that could happen again so they separated all habitats from each other. Even now, these animals had to live with their punishments as consequences of their actions. But they were taught a very important lesson, they learned they should never take advantage of their abilities and gifts to do bad things that can hurt themselves or others.
