Our words have this awesome power
from the moment they leave our brain…
to cause others joy and happiness
or sorrow, heartache and pain.
Which means we must be careful with our words
and how we choose to use them.
to remember how important they are
and try never to misuse them…
When we speak words of praise and love…
those who hear them will find a way
to remember them forever…
those beautiful words we say.
But we must also keep in mind…
when our words are cruel, and callous and rotten
these words, just like words of love…
may never be forgotten.
All the more reason to think before we speak…
because when we use words that are hurtful and unkind
we should ask ourselves…
When we are gone…
are these the kind of words we want to leave behind?
