Cover me today Lord

from the pain and shame

today can bring,



Cover me Lord

from the darkness inside

cover me from the shadows

that linger in time,



Cover me Lord from the sorrow

that others can bring,



Cover me from the rain inside my heart

cover me from the words that can cut deep,



Cover me today Lord

fill me with your love

cover me and guide me

make my space wide

to show your love to others

help me glow and keep my mind

clean,



Help me walk in your ways so true,

Today Lord,cover me and make me new.
