Without showing my fear

Where can I go
Without following the flow
I want a place of my own
A place I can call "My Home"
When can I leave
On my own to achieve
Sooner or later I have to learn
There's things I have to earn
Who will I meet
Will they be a real treat
Will they be real mean
Or be real keen
Why can't everyone see
That independence is a need
